*SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS*
Right, so. My first impressions. Forgive me if I'm terribly ineloquent.
HOLY SHIT! So much as fucking CHANGED! No Hogwarts! No Dumbledore...Oh,
God, I cried. He was absolutely wonderful in this book - and the
funeral! Beautiful, beautiful.
Anyone else find this book fucking freaky? As in, scary? Straight off
we get Malfoy stamping on the nose of an immobile Harry - that was
really vicious. And the Inferi - the lake? When Harry had to force a
SCREAMING Dumbledore to drink? Whoa. Fantastically creepy stuff.
I loved the background information on Riddle. Absolutely fascinating -
his family, what makes him who he is - splitting his soul into seven?
O_o
And Harry? I LOVED Harry in this! He was strong, determined - a leader.
He's got the OotP-shaped object out of arse! Hurrah! He's learned
patience and to master his own selfish impulses - rock on, mate.
Speaking of - RON!!! Or should I say - Won-Won?
*dies laughing* Oh God that cracked me up.... imagine him with his
bling My-Sweetheart necklace!.... God, that's being to be crack-arted.
Anyway, yes - Ron. Well, who's the little slut/stud, hmmm? Now,
Lavender's a blithering idiot - but fair game to him, he wanted some
experience. Hermione kissed Krum, eh? And ha, proves that Ron is
certainly a desirable candidate.
The quidditch match! I adored Harry for his sneaky trick - and HELL YES, Ron's a SUPERB Keeper! Whoooooooo!!! XDDD
Hermione - well, well, doesn't she know how to be a bitch, hmm? :) Had
to agree with Harry when he mused on how fair girls go for revenge on
guys. And she wanted Ron so baaaaaaaaad.
Ron/Hermione! Joy, joy, joy! Hermione's Confunded thing at McClaggen,
Ron's Er My Knee when's he's DRUGGED, Ron's words of 'I love you' and
the blush - Dude! She asked him OUT! :DDD Oh, I'm happy.
Anyone else think this was the most romantically-inclined book yet? Attack of the hormones!
And the Harry/Ginny. Well, wow. Didn't expect so much of it. I
certainly liked Ginny's sassiness, the 'seductive smell' of flowers was
gorgeous. The ending was lovely and right for them, I think - at least
for now. I wouldn't liked to have seen a little more of their
intimacies, though.
On the subject of that seductive potion - when Hermione's cut off,
blushing incredibly? HAD to have something to do with Ron. The same
phrasing of how she blushes his used repeatedly in the book in relation
to her reactions with Ron. Wonder what he smells like, then? :p
Remus/Tonks - didn't quite get the point of that (er, nothing to do
with the fact I'm a hardcore R/S shipper - no, not at all...) but it
does contribute to the still-suriving love, I suppose. Remus, as
always, takes my breath away with every mention. Greyback? GREYBACK? He
is revolting, and slightly paedophilic, and poor Remus.... and his
reaction to Dumbledore's death got me sobbing...
On a happier note: I found a lot of this book very, very funny. Phlegm!
Hahaaa.... I've already mention the GLORIOUSNESS of
Won-Won ... Fred and George's shop was a blast, too.
What effected me most, though, was - aside from the hormone-explosions
for comic relief - how fascinating, dark and moving this book was. When
push comes to shove, all of the DA strongholds acted admirably. I LOVED
how Harry treats Ron and Hermione as equals, because I don't think he
did in OotP - after their TOP-NOTCH reactions to the Prophecy, he
depended on them and shared himself. Ginny was a beautiful comfort to
Harry after Dumbledore was found, too. In the words of Ron - Luna's
really starting to grow on me, too. :D Commentary! Glorious.
I really liked, inexplicably, the fact that Harry only really played
one game, yet still they won. I found the head-cracking thing rather
funny, actually - and the last game, them still winning? 'Course the
Harry/Ginny kiss was sweet too. :D
HOW strong friends are Harry and Ron? How bloody MUCH do they mean to each other? *beams happily*
Oh, yes... I'm forgetting... SNAPE. Is he evil? Obviously a very
powerful wizard.bastard - but I'm wondering, you know. There are still
a few things that don't quite make sense about his treachery. At the
end of Order - HE alerted the Order for save Harry and co - why did he
do that? He could've got out of that, he was under no obligation. Hmmm.
Anyone else think this? And the second chapter - it seemed very
important for JKR to show that Snape was under this Unbreakable Vow.
I'm wondering... perhaps there's more to Snape still. He's a powerful
guy though, isn't he? Whoa. It's funny, because next to Sirius he never
seemed - but now? I'm wondering if Dumbledore knew about this Vow, and
they both knew that sometime it had to happen. I'm not sure, here - but
perhaps Dumbledore's dying pleas could be read another way? I'm
guessing, here. And I'm not sure.
And Dumbledore kept asking for Snape when Harry was getting him back
from Hogsmeade - why, exactly? Hmmm ...Anyway. Snape obviously has a
big role left to play.
... How the hell are we going to wait more years? Argh, I'm so bloody curious.
And, the last of my disorganised thoughts - the ending was absolutely
beautiful. Harry's thoughts, the elegance of Harry and Ginny's
seperation, the quiet subtle R/Hr that leads me to think that the
reason why their relationship isn't as simple as grabbing and snogging
in a qudditch victory is because is so much more, the bravery and
fascinating decision of Harry's to go to Godric's Hollow - but most of
all?
Harry, Ron and Hermione's friendship. RIGHT there, last page - no
question, no hesitation, no fear, just loyalty. No more worrying and
panicking for Ron and Hermione - that was fucking WONDERFUL. That's the
centre of the ENTIRE series' warmth and lovability - this trio of
friendship, rooted in the middle. Harry and Hermione ruined after a
Firebolt incident? Pah. Ron and Hermione ruined after misguided pride
and the apparrant death of a pet? Never. Harry and Ron torn apart by
jealous and insecurity? Hell no. Ron and Hermione's blossoming love
stop short at a few meaningless experiments at kissing? Not a chance.
Harry, Ron and Hermione NOT be united, hunting down Horcruxes and
risking life and limb? ... What the hell books have you been reading? XD
God, I'm in love. :)
Mollywobbles, yo!

Hear, hear! Maybe it's silly, but the way you said those words just touched me. Gaah, I love friendships. Especially those consisting of deep bonds between Harry, Ron and Hermione.
Speaking of friendship, I SO agree with you. Harry, Ron and Hermione's friendship is fuckin' beautiful. Ron and Hermione were both SO LOYAL to Harry, and Harry to them. I loved Ron and Hermione's reactions when they first heard about the prophecy. So.. loyal, again. So mature. Not at all what I had expected. I thought Ron would look crestfallen, or Hermione would burst into tears. But they took it really well, and supported Harry. Ahh, how I love the trio.
Btw, when will JKR make my ickle Ronniekins ready to hear and say Voldemort's name? I'd really like that to happen soon. *hopes*

Aww - not at all, dear. The friendships turn me into goo too.

Yup - I was really worried that they might pull the 'scared Ron' and 'naggy Hermione' act - but I'm so, so pleased with how they supported him. And Harry saying that it meant more to him than he could ever tell them? Meeeelt.
And yeah... I'm hoping for Ron to say Voldemort too, Harry expects it of him. :D
WORD. *glomps* .. *looks at you defensively* What? I wasn't crying!
